Five-day Management Training Course

Designed to be of value to all levels of management within schools.  Will help the middle manager to deliver their role more effectively; will help staff aspiring to their first managerial challenge to have a realistic awareness of what is involved and will serve as an aid to Senior Managers reflecting on their existing performance with staff.  The essence of the course is as follows:

Day One: Management roles, job descriptions and the recruitment process.
Day Two: Managing people, effective delegation and communication.
Day Three: Target setting and performance management.
Day Four: Whole school management - governance, planning, policy making, financial control, timetabling and development.
Day Five: My ten best pieces of management advice.
 

Each session is designed to last one and a half hours.  Course participants will be encouraged to share views and interact with the presenter where possible.
