Many more schools are recognising the growing respect among consumers and Higher Education institutions for the International Baccalaureate Programme. Setting up a quality IB Diploma programme requires forward planning, significant investment in resources both physical and human plus an effective communications programme to bring everyone involved to a similar level of familiarity with the aims and objectives of the IB.
Having been responsible for successfully introducing the IB Diploma programme into three international schools in Spain, Indonesia and Oman, I am well-versed to offer quality advice and support to schools as they embark on the authorisation process and in the key initial years of implementation. In addition, I can relate readily to the issues involved in introducing such a programme into UK State schools or colleges, having had extensive experience as a Headteacher in both Scotland and England. |
